Applications are now open for our Spring 2025 Grant Round. During this round, we are offering top-up research grants (for Spring and Summer 25) of up to $500 to Brown graduate students working on any topic related to early cultures, and larger-scale funding for Brown faculty, postdocs, and graduate students planning research-focused groups, events or course development (Academic Year 2025-26 and beyond); funding for small workshops is often in the $1,000-2,000 range, and we have made grants for major conferences of $5,000-$10,000. We are particularly keen to hear from people planning events in future academic years; for large conferences we suggest applying at least a year in advance.
